An Open Appeal To The Chief Minister, Nagaland

Sir,
Travelling through Assam has become a nightmare for Naga public due to unnecessary harassment and illegal demands by Assam Police (AP). Temporary checking points crop up at various locations every now and then, sometimes even mobile parties would chase and force vehicles to stop unnecessarily for checking.  It is worse during Christmas season. The worst places are Bokajan and Golaghat areas at the moment. I don’t know about the other places. Even after producing all necessary documents, they would still try to find some silly reasons (at which they are unbelievably good) to charge us and if they cant find any, they shamelessly ask money for ‘Tea’. On the contrary, even without any documents you can go scot free if you give them money. Hence, it is very obvious that their sole objective is to make some fast bucks from commuters and Nagaland vehicles are their prime targets and first time travelers suffer the most. Do the Assam Government and Assam Police Department in Guwahati know about the activities of these money greedy AP personnels Or are they legally carrying out orders?
Well, every citizen ought to know how to speak and stand for his own rights but it is not that easy in real life situations for ordinary public. The voiceless remains voiceless everywhere unless one is willing to go through some amount of hardships for justice, which is not the best option again. Hence, even though we know that we are right, most of the time we end up paying money to avoid inconveniences and save time. Moreover, the APs, with their ‘lahi, lahi’ attitude, would take forever during these checking routines wasting time, energy and testing one’s patience unnecessarily.
If the Nagaland Government would bring it to the notice of the Assam Government regarding this blatant tyrannical abuse of power by these APs, it would be of huge relief to the Naga commuters. I am making this appeal because there are certain issues like this one which need to be solved from top level for instant solution.
