Bogus is bogus, I think the government knows the meaning of the term ‘Bogus’. These bogus teachers duped the government of its fund for a considerable period of time by means of drawing salaries in terms of cores. However it is ridiculous to see that the government is so kind and forgiving to them and that instead of punishing them they are being given employment with a regular status. It may be recalled that there was a shortfall of salary component in school education department in the month of Jan 2009 for which a special investigation team (SIT) was constituted to investigate the excess and bogus appointments in the department. How limited the work may be, the SIT consisting of the State Vigilance Officers unearthed and identified the bogus teachers who are supposed to be charge-sheeted and penalized by the authority, had there been a competent government.
But your DAN government opted to be soft and committed that those bogus teachers who have genuine educational documents would be taken back to service. This is nothing short of legalizing crime in the society. Now the question of salary shortage and the labour of SIT were fully superseded by the decision of the government. Moreover regularization of teachers’ service is a long and a time taking process but political will on the bogus teachers made the process so easy, leaving aside the genuinely appointed teachers hue and cry. Now your action has opened the flood gate of litigation in the department. This is now there is a saying; “Education should be free from political interference”. The Department has no chance now to be healed unless first is made first and second is made second followed by third. Over and above this, a great majority of your bogus teachers are from a particular tribe. The question is, how can such a huge number of employment be awarded to a particular tribe and that too in one go? How about doing justice to other tribes in matter of employment in your democratic Nagaland? Your legitimately elected government’s image is being tarnished by your lopsided attitudes and actions in many issues before the citizens who are looking justice upon you.
