Kohima, October 9 (MExN): The Chetheba Town Youth Organization will be organising the first Phek district open volleyball tournament at Chetheba Town under Phek district on October 17 at the local ground.
Vesuta Medeo, CTYO president in a press release said the event is aimed to focus on promoting local players while keeping in mind to keep the players fit for the upcoming Chokri Area Sports Association meet which will be held next year at Khulazu Basa.
The organisers are expecting around 15 teams to compete for the championship, wherein the winners will walk home with a cash prize of Rs 20,000, while the runner-up will receive 10,000. The individual award includes best setter and best spiker. The entry fee for each team is Rs 2000 and last date is fixed at October 16.
