Chümoukedima, Nagaland 19 (MExN): The Organising Committee for the upcoming Dr Talimeren Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship 2025 (Tier-2) held a coordination meeting on November 19 with officials from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to review ongoing preparations of the tournament scheduled to begin at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium on November 22.
The committee and AIFF representatives discussed key operational components of the championship including venue readiness, team arrangements, match logistics, accommodation, medical support, technical requirements, and event protocols.
The committee shared updates on the comprehensive arrangements undertaken by the Government of Nagaland through its various sub-committees which included security planning, transportation coordination, hospitality, media management, ceremonial programmes, and community engagement initiatives. AIFF officials expressed appreciation for the state’s preparations and provided guidance on ensuring that all aspects of the event remain aligned with national standards for age-group championships.
The meeting also reviewed technical requirements such as officiating support, match scheduling, equipment needs, and on-field operations. AIFF assured full cooperation and technical assistance throughout the tournament.
With 13 teams set to participate, the committee reiterated that Nagaland is fully prepared to welcome all delegations, highlighting the state’s enthusiasm to host the championship for the first time. The committee also conveyed its appreciation to AIFF for entrusting Nagaland with the responsibility of hosting an event that not only promotes women’s football but also celebrates the legacy of Dr Talimeren Ao.
