MON, APRIL 6 (MExN): A new diagnostic laboratory, the Pathkind Collection Center, was inaugurated in Mon town on April 5 to expand access to healthcare diagnostics for residents of Mon district.
The facility is a collaboration between Pathkind Laboratory—accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)—and the Eastern Diagnostic Center, Mon town. The center aims to provide high-quality diagnostic services locally, minimizing the need for patients to travel outside the district for specialized care.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Mon town MLA Mankhao Konyak and attended by Minister of Environment, Forests & Climate Change C.L. John; Advisor for Treasuries & Accounts and Art & Culture Konngam Konyak; MLAs Nyamnyei Konyak and Manpon Konyak; Resident Commissioner of Nagaland House, New Delhi, Wennyei Konyak; Joint Director and State Nodal Officer (Health & Family Welfare), Dr. Hentok Phom; and Mon District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Supongmenla Walling.
The center is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic machines and staffed by certified pathologists and technicians. Pathkind will offer a range of diagnostic services, including health check-up packages and specialized tests in oncology, neurology, gynaecology, and nephrology. Home collection services will also be available for patients' convenience.
