Peren, April 10 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru organised a consultative meeting with Government Primary School, New Peren teachers, village council and the parents of the students on April 10.
According to a DIPR report, the DC Peren Hiazu Meru informed that Peren DPDB is adopting the Government Primary School, New Peren in order to bring positive changes and create future opportunity for the children. He encouraged the villagers to give their collective efforts and push up for further improvements and actively play the role and responsibility of the Village Education Board. The DC Peren cautioned the teaching community to perform their duties judiciously and to initiate necessary action for any failure in the education system.
Meru also urged the teachers to impart good quality education to the children. He urged the villagers to know their rights and avail the opportunities provided by the government in the right perspective, and to take care of Government properties as their own.
On the adoption of New Peren Government Primary School, Meru narrated the functioning of good schools in Kohima and Dimapur where the Department gives priority to the good performance schools in the state. Meru urged the villagers to enroll their children in their respective Government Schools and to give their efforts to enroll more children in the near future.
The DC Peren also highlighted that RD department has assured for painting the Government School at new Peren and other departments will try to improvise different areas to cater quality education to the children with good infrastructure.
District Education Officer (DEO), Peren apprised them about the Government policies of school run in the state and stated that where there is less students’ enrollment the School was either degraded or close down. Citing this example, the DEO encouraged New Peren Villagers to give their support in maintaining the Government Schools for their children. The DEO also assured to contribute his time as and when his service is required.
The teachers also assured to give their best efforts in providing good quality education and bring laurel to the department. Village Council chairman and Chairman of Village Education Board also spoke and shared their grievances and failure on their part and assured that with collective efforts they will create successful stories in the district.
