Massive landslide between Mesulumi and Chizami on September 5.
Phek, September 5 (MExN): Phek Deputy Commissioner has informed all the concerned that in view of the occurrence of a major landslide/mudslide at Chainage: 78+000 & 79+836 under Package-IV of Kohima-Jessami Road under Mesulumi village, all vehicular movement along the aforementioned stretch of NH-29 shall remain suspended for road clearance and in the interest of public safety for a period of 10(ten) days with effect from the date of issue of this advisory.
During the period of restriction, commuters have been advised to use the alternate route.
For Heavy Motor Vehicle and light Motor Vehicle: Pfutsero Town-Porba-Sakraba- Khomi-Phek Village-Lanezho road and vice versa.
For Unit Motor Vehicle only: Pfutsero Town- Tsupfume-Thetsumi-Chizami road and vice versa.
The Construction Company, Keystone Infra Pvt. Ltd. have been directed to ensure that all road clearance works are completed or before the aforementioned restriction period.
