Phek, August 14 (MExN): District Level Committee for Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM) for Implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for Phek district held its meeting at DC's Conference Hall, Phek on August 13.
According to a DIPR report, DC Phek, Rhosietho Nguori who is also the chairman of the DWSM Phek, chaired the meeting.
Executive Engineer PHED, Er Narisen Jami presented overall process of JJM and Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) under Phek District. She highlighted the achievements made under the programmes, which includes coverage of Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTCs) and Implementation Status of ongoing schemes and Sanitation-related interventions.
Er Narisen Jami also briefed the house on the key challenges faced during implementation. She stressed the urgency of Har Ghar Jal (HGJ) Declaration and requested all concerned departments, village councils and DWSM committee to extend necessary cooperation for completion of pending activities and certification processes.
DEO (Education) presented the status of water supply facilities in schools across Phek district, while the District Project Officer (ICDS), Phek Presented the Status of water supply coverage in Anganwati centres. BDO (DRDA), Phek presented status of JJM works being implemented by Rural Development Department in Phek district.
DC & Chairman, DWSM, Phek requested all concerned departments to intensify effort for timely completion of all pending JJM and SBM activities
