DIMAPUR, JUNE 8 (MExN): The Department of Power, Electrical Division Dimapur, has informed that it will launch a disconnection drive against consumers with pending electricity bills and take action against various illegal activities from June 10.
In a press release, the Executive Engineer, Electrical Division Dimapur, stated that the drive will cover all categories of consumers within the division's jurisdiction and will continue on a regular basis until further orders.
The department said it will undertake disconnections for non-payment of electricity bills and conduct raids against illegal activities such as meter tampering, hooking and unauthorized load alteration.
Consumers have been advised to clear their pending electricity bills within the stipulated time to avoid inconvenience and possible disconnection of power supply.
The department further informed that consumers facing discrepancies or grievances related to electricity bills may visit the offices of their respective Sub-Divisional Officers (Electrical) for clarification at the earliest.
It also reminded consumers that electricity bills can be viewed and paid online through the Department of Power portal using their Consumer ID. According to the department, online payment facilities are available through Department of Power Nagaland.
