Kohima, May 2 (MExN): A day-long “Bless Kohima Northeast: India Prayer Drive” was conducted across multiple locations in the state capital on Saturday, focusing on peace, unity and spiritual renewal.
The initiative was led by Vizotuo Kiewhuo, Principal of Kohima Bible College and Founder and Senior Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church, Kohima, and Koinonia Prayer Centre, Tsiesema Basa.
He was joined by Rev Luoliehu Yimsung (Yim), a missionary from Nagaland serving in Singapore, Australia and Oceania nations, along with participants from Kohima Bible College (KBC), Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) and Koinonia Prayer Centre (KPC).
According to organisers, prayer services were held at several locations across Kohima, including Jakhama Ground, Kohima Peace Memorial Park (opposite the Cultural Hall), Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, Kohima Orphanage Home and D Khel Ground, Seikhazou, before culminating at Koinonia Prayer Centre.
The prayer drive focused on seeking peace, forgiveness, reconciliation and unity, while also invoking blessings for deliverance, prosperity and development in Kohima.
Organisers stated that prayers were specifically conducted at key “gateways” of the city, described as strategic points.
A total of 89 participants from Koinonia Baptist Church, Koinonia Prayer Centre and Kohima Bible College took part in the initiative.
