Maligaon, October 12 (MExN): The Guwahati – Lumding – Guwahati Express service has been extended up to Shokhuvi in Nagaland at one end and up to Mendipathar in Meghalaya on the other, to improve rail connectivity between various north-eastern states.
President of India Droupadi Murmu will flag off the special connectivity train that will connect Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, on October 14 from Guwahati, the Northeast Frontier Railway informed on Wednesday. She is on a three-day visit to Tripura and Assam beginning October 12.
The details of stoppages and timings of the train service are available at IRCTC website and through NTES and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of the NFR zone, the NFR said, while requesting passengers to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
