Dimapur, December 8 (MExN): Nagaland losing spree after their debut win at Ranji trophy match continued as they were defeated by Manipur on their fourth match today.
The team was defeated by Manipur by 7 wickets in the Plate Group-D at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima in Dimapur with a day to spare. This is their third consecutive defeat.
In first innings, Nagaland managed to score only 126 runs while their opponent made a mammoth total 334 runs in reply.
Nagaland recovered in the second innings scoring a respectable 334 runs, with K B Pawan—131, Abrar—90, and Jonathan—59 leading the batting line-up, but the 1st innings deficit was too big for the match to be salvaged.
Manipur reached the target 128 runs losing only three wickets, eventually winning the match with 7 wickets.
Nagaland will play against Uttrakhand from December 14 to 17 in Dehradun.
