Ranji Trophy: Nagaland lose to Meghalaya

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 23 (MExN): The Nagaland senior mens’ team lost the four day Ranji Trophy match against Meghalaya in Shillong by 6 wickets on day four today.  

Nagaland added 39 runs to their overnight score of 332 runs, before being all out for 371 giving Meghalaya a target of 88 runs to chase in the second innings.  

But Nagaland struck early through Pawan Suyal and Tahmeed Rahman and reduced Meghalaya to 12 for 3 at one stage. Nagaland had earlier won against Mizoram, but lost to Sikkim.  

Next up, Nagaland will take on Manipur at the NCA Stadium, Sovima from December 6 to 9.  

Meanwhile, in the CK Nayudu Trophy Under 23s Trophy, between Nagaland and Manipur, being played at NCA Stadium, Sovima, Nagaland were struggling at 186 for 5 after Manipur scored 325 in the first innings. Play is scheduled to continue for Day 3 tomorrow.
