Truck load of IMFL seized

Kohima | March 12

Kohima Police today seized a truck load of IMFL at the Peducha Check Gate. Police said the truck bearing NL07A 0805 was coming from Dimapur side, from where 720 cases of different brand of IMFL has been seized. The driver of the truck identified as Ram Sagar has been arrested, police said. Investigation was going on and further detail is awaited at the time of filling this report.

World Consumer Rights Day on Mar 15

Kohima, March 12 (DIPR):
The Department of Legal Metrology & consumer Protection along with the rest of the world is observing the World Consumer Rights Day on March 15 by conducting a workshop in the main market place of all the district headquarters in the state with the theme “Consumers! Discharge your Responsibilities and Assert your Rights”. The department has in a press release informed all section of consumers to attend the workshops in their respective districts.

Dist veterinary officer Tsg informs

Dimapur, March 12 (MExN):
The District Veterinary & AH officer Dr Y Tep Rengma has informed the candidates who have applied under Livestock and Poultry Development, Tuensang district that the interview will be conducted on March 16 from 9:30 am in the office of the district veterinary officer, Tuensang.

Hunting banned in Piphema

Dimapur, March 12 (MExN):
The Piphema Kenu Krüta Krotho Kehou (PKKKK).  Dimapur has informed that hunting and fishing in any form and destruction of flora within the jurisdiction of Piphema village is restricted indefinitely until further notice. A press note issued by its president Seyielhouto Keyho stated that defaulters will be penalized as per the rules of PKKKK. Therefore, the public are requested to abide the rules.

NSCN/GPRN election office informs

Dimapur, March 12 (MExN):
Senior 'kilonser', 'ministry of information & publicity' and chief election commissioner of Nagalim, A.Z. Jami has notified through the MIP, GPRN to all the 'central administrative officers' (CAOs) and 'executive officers' (Eos) of Nagalim to collect ‘Village-wise’ population figures from their respective regions/ Union Territories (UTs) through their respective 'khapur and raju-peyus' and submit to the 'election commissioner' of Nagalim on or before April 15. “This notification pertains to Election matters. Therefore, all CAOs/EOs of Nagalim should give prompt and urgent attention with utmost sincerity”, stated a notification issued by the MIP. Separate notification may not be issued from the Office of the Chief Election Commissioner of Nagalim, it stated.

SKK appeals

Dimapur, March 12 (MExN):
In reference to the news items published in the local dailies on March 12, 2011, the All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) has appealed the authority not to publish “Aloto as auditor general of SKK in any case.” The Union in a joint press release issued by its president Nihoyi Kinimi and general secretary Shikavi Achumi stated that since Aloto was the auditor general of SKK during 2099 and 2010 tenure but due to his involvement in kidnap and ransom case, the Union has terminated Aloto through an executive meeting held on December 16, 2010. The Union has bar him from any active participation in any students’ platform for tarnishing the image of All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) in particular and students’ community in general.
