Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): The District Education Officer (DEO), Dimapur has informed in a press note that an orientation programme on inclusive education for IED DMS SSA Dimapur will be held on March 19, 9:30 am at GHSS, auditorium, Dimapur. Private schools' headmasters and principals, GHS/GHSS principals/headmasters/headmistress and SSA administrations under the district are requested to attend the programme. Attendance will be seriously viewed.
Heal Dimapur seven days of prayer
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): As part of the “Heal Dimapur” campaign a seven-day prayer meeting has been organized from march 19 to 25, 4:00 pm at Sinai Cafe, DC Court Junction. The focus of prayer on each day will be: 19th (Arts & Entertainment), 20th (Business), 21st (Media), 22nd (Church), 23rd (Family), 24th (Education), and 25th (Government). All are invited to come and join in worship and prayer.
Minister Parliamentary Affairs informs
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN):The ninth session of the Eleventh Nagaland Legislative Assembly will begin from March 22. In regard to this minister of Parliamentary Affairs, T. R Zeliang has notified that a meeting of the members of the Legislative Party of Nagaland People’s Front will be held on March 21 to discuss the agenda before the Legislative Assembly Session and other related matters. The members concerned are requested to attend the meeting.
Fraternity league of Kikruma & Mezo Phetsu
Kohima, March 16 (MExN): The fraternity league of Kikruma and Mezo Phetsu (every 30 years) will take place from March 19 to 21 at Kikruma in Phek district. The programme will be marked by gospel message, prayer and exchange of bible, cultural exchange, cultural exhibitions etc.
GSUK general meeting on March 20
Kohima, March 16 (MExN): The general meeting of Gorkha Students Union, Kohima will take place on March 20 at GPP Hall, Chandmari Kohima at 2: 00 pm to discuss on some of the important agenda and also on the upcoming of activities of the union. In this connection, all the members especially unit executives of the GSUK have been requested to attend the same without fail.
STSUD parting social on Mar 19
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN):The Sangtam Theological Students’ Union, Dimapur will hold its 13th parting Social gathering for the year 2010-11 on March 19 at Purana Bazar Sangtam Baptist Church at 10:00 am. Hotongkyü Sangtam, SDO (PWD) Dimapur will be the guest speaker. The union has requested the theological colleges’ authorities to allow members of STSUD to attend the gathering as well as members too. Also the Sangtams, who are in Church ministry in Dimapur are invited for the gathering.
IRCS mourns reverend’s demise
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN):The Red Cross Society, Nagland State Branch, Kohima has mourned the demise of former state chaplain Rev Deo Vihienuo on March 14. In a condolence note, the IRCS stated: “We recall the invaluable contributions rendered by late Rev Deo Vihienuo to the Red Cross Society functions of the State Branch on various occasions with prayer support.” It has conveyed its deepest condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
TTC on water crisis
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): The Tuensang Town Council (TTC) has disclosed that the St. John sector A and B are facing water problem for many years “due to some vested individuals selfish act” The council in a press note issued by its advisor, S Imlongnukshi Chang stated that for both sectors, there is only one water reservoir and making the situation worse some individuals have connected their pipeline from the main pipeline, which is meant for the residents of St. John sector A and B. The advisor has requested the department and individuals in concern to kindly disconnect the illegal attached pipelines, failing which, the department and individuals will be responsible if any unwanted situation arises out of it.
NPCC informs
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN):The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has informed that Luizinho Falerio, member of CWC, AICC I/c Nagaland will be visiting the state on March 18 and have a meeting at 3:00 pm in Congress Bhavan, Kohima. In this connection, NPCC general secretary (Admn) Medokul Sophie has requested the PCC office bearers, PCC members, DCC presidents and frontal chiefs to attend the meeting without fail.
NSUD mourns
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN):The Naga Students' Union, Delhi deeply mourned the untimely demise of Joseph Chang, the son of its Advisory member C.M. Chang, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha. NSUD general secretary Boveio Poukai Duo in a message conveyed that words cannot express our sorrow and sympathy for the bereaved family, whose dear son was not only a very good friend but also a great asset to the NSUD. The union prays that the good Lord will have mercy on his departed soul and be the greatest comforter to the family in this time of great trial.
