Cadets participate in the Inter-House Cross Country Championship 2025–26 at Sainik School Punglwa on November 15.
PEREN, NOVEMBER 15 (MExN): Sainik School Punglwa organised its annual Inter-House Cross Country Championship for the 2025–26 session on November 15.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from all cadets, including girl cadets from Classes 6 to 12, competing across six categories under the junior and senior groups. The competition showcased the endurance, discipline and athletic abilities of the students.
In Group A, comprising all boy cadets of Class VI, Mohammed Sohail of Dzukou House clinched the gold medal. In Group B, for boys of Classes VII, VIII and IX, Thampong Konyak of Pauna House secured first place. Yazei Konyak of Tizu House emerged as the gold medallist in Group C, featuring boys of Classes X, XI and XII.
Among the girls, Yachummaro Jami of Dhansiri House won the gold medal in Group D (Class VI). In Group E (Classes VII and VIII), Lumrola Sangtam of Melak House finished first. Deepshri Pathak of Shilloi House took the top position in Group F (Classes IX and X).
Pauna House emerged champions in the junior category with an impressive performance, while Japfu House retained their title in the senior category, finishing ahead of their competitors.
Principal Col (Dr) Smita Misra, along with the SSPN staff, congratulated all winners and participants for their spirited performance and commendable effort.
