Kohima, March 24 (MExN): The Department of Science & Technology had conducted four days training for the production of Sanitary Napkins at Kohima from March 14 to 17 and has recently installed the machineries. The project is a manufacturing Unit of sanitary napkins at lower cost while maintaining high quality using rural technologies that is less capital intensive. The main objective of the programme is to help women to maintain good health & clean environment with the eco-friendly produce. Further, the department will reach out with the products to rural areas, in order to spread importance of good health & clean environment.
