Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The Sumi Chess Association Nagaland (SCAN) will celebrate its Silver Jubilee on August 20, at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur, with Dr K Inazhe Phuleshe as the special guest for the inaugural program.
The event, beginning at 10:00 AM in the Conference Hall, will also feature the 12th All Sumi Chess Championship 2025, organized to mark the historic occasion.
So far, 60 participants have registered, with expectations of 70-80 players competing in the championship.
SCAN has invited all former Presidents, General Secretaries, Advisors, and members to attend the celebrations.
Participants and invitees are requested to dress in formal/semi-formal attire with a traditional touch, while college and school students must wear their institute uniforms.
The organizers have emphasized discipline, manners, and punctuality, wishing all participants the best of sportsmanship and luck.
