Kohima, July 31 (MExN): The State College of Teacher Education, Kohima (SCTE-K), organised a farewell programme to honour its outgoing Principal, Dr Elizabeth Walling, in recognition of her service and leadership at the institution.
The programme, held on the college campus, was chaired by Anisha Himb and attended by faculty members, non-teaching staff, and student-teachers.
Paying tribute on behalf of the teaching faculty, Dr Runi Nakro highlighted the milestones achieved and the institutional progress made during Dr Walling's tenure. Tributes from the non-teaching staff, student-teachers, and alumni acknowledged her professional expertise, dedication, and contributions to teacher education.
Speakers also recalled her humility, integrity, and kindness, noting that she nurtured and cared for the institution throughout her tenure as an administrator.
In her farewell address, Dr Walling reflected on her journey as an educator and expressed gratitude to the faculty, staff, and students for their support and cooperation during her time at the college.
The programme also featured a special musical presentation by the student-teachers. It began with an invocation by Rose Mary Achumi and concluded with a benediction by Dr Khriezonuo Belho.
