Kohima, January 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Wrestling Association will participate in the 7th NTWFI Belt Wrestling Championship which is scheduled to be held from February 3 to 7 at Panaji, Goa. Selection will be done in the following age and weight categories - Juniors (18-19 yrs): 54kg, 59kg, 65kg. Seniors (20 yrs & above): -50kg, 57kg, 65kg, 74kg, 86kg, +86kg.
As per a press release, it was informed that selection of players will be conducted on January 20. The selection trial will begin at 10:00 am at the IG Stadium, Kohima. The release asked intending wrestlers to attend the selection without fail while “TA/DA will not be admissible.”
Wrestlers intending to participate were asked to produce “Aadhar Card, Bonafide Certificate of school/college, driving license etc for age proof.”
It added that 30 percent (Rs.3000) of the total expenditure of the entire trip will be borne by each individual while 70 percent amounting to 7000 will be borne by NWA.
