CMO Dimapur Dr T Temsu Longkumer inaugurates the new building for the Sematilla Health & Wellness Centre on April 10.
DIMAPUR, APRIL 10 (MExN): A new building for the Sematilla Health & Wellness Centre (HWC) was inaugurated on April 10 by Dr T Temsu Longkumer, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dimapur.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Temsu acknowledged the Sematilla Council for their initiative in constructing the new facility with funds provided under the 15th Finance Commission.
He noted that with the recent upgrade from a Sub-Centre to a HWC, the facility will now be able to accommodate additional health services and facilities, with provision for further development if needed.
Dr. Temsu also highlighted the range of services available under the upgraded HWC such as wellness activities, cancer screening, yoga and other components of holistic care.
He urged the Council and Village Health Committee members to continue their support and cooperation with the health staff to work toward achieving the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) Certification, which focuses on ensuring quality healthcare services and enhancing patient safety.
The programme was chaired Atoi Sema, GB, Sematilla Colony. Officials present at the programme included Dr. Kavito Zhimomi, DPO (NVBDCP); Dr. Benchilo Ngullie, DTO (RNTCP); Dr. Rongsennungla, DPO (RCH/UIP); the Headmistress of GHS Sematilla; the DPM (NHM); staff from the CMO’s office; and members of Sematilla Colony.
