Spreading message of cleanliness

Mokokchung, March 24 (MExN): In a noble gesture, members A&B Youth Fellowship of Mokokchung Town Baptist Church (MTBA) took a voluntary cleanliness drive at Sangtemla Ward here this morning. The youth members cleaned the drains and collected the waste materials from the roadside and disposed them.
The youth members of the A&B Youth Fellowship disclosed that the cleanliness drive was undertaken on the theme ‘conducive towards environment’. They said that the drive was undertaken with the objective of creating an environment friendly society through the active participation and contributions of the Christian youths. Besides, they said that they wanted to spread a message of civic sense and to create awareness of the work culture through their activity.
“We want to provoke unity, dispel errors and push cohesion among the Christian youths through this kind of work activities,” said a youth leader, “We want to revive the saying cleanliness is next to godliness’. Nonetheless, the voluntary work of the youths were highly appreciated by the citizens of the town, and expressed hoped that the youths of other colonies and fellowship will take example from the A&B Youth Fellowship and work towards keeping a clean and healthy society.
