Kohima, March 28 (MExN): A state level training on natural farming was conducted in the Directorate of Agriculture, Kohima on March 25. In the inaugural session, an overview of the scheme was presented by Rosemary Ezung, Deputy Director & State Nodal Officer of Natural Farming.
S Yongchang Phom, Director of Agriculture, in his speech shared that National Mission on Natural farming will be implemented across the State to promote sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices, enhancing soil health, bio-diversity and ecosystem services while ensuring farmer’s prosperity and consumer well being.
In the technical session, Bodevi Shuya, Joint Director and DAO incharge Chümoukedima presented on ‘Scope and principles of Natural Farming’ followed by Dr Sunil Kumar, SMS Agronomy KVK Kiphire on ‘Soil and Nutrient Management’ Bio-inputs and bio-formulation in Natural Farming.’
