DIMAPUR, JULY 31 (MExN): The first two quarterfinal matches of the Summer Challenger Cup 2018 was played on July 31. The first quarterfinal match between Ngwalna FC and Chanan FC ended in a draw at fulltime leading to penalty tie breaker. Ngwalna FC showed more mettle to prevail over Chanan FC winning the penalty tie breaker with 3-2 on the scoreboard to progress into the semifinals.
The second quarterfinal match was played between Fury FC and Junior Legends FC, where Fury FC won 2-1 to progress into the semifinals.
The first two quarterfinal matches were graced by Mhiesirialie Siria, President, Chakhroma Sports Association as the match patron. The third and fourth quarter finals will be played on Wednesday where Visako Rino, President, Angami Students Union will be the match patron.
