An athlete at the ongoing 60th meet of TASA Khuza town on January 18
Kohima, January 18 (MExN): The 60th meet of the Tizu Area Sports Association (TASA) entered 2nd day on January 18 at Tizu Area sports complex Khuza town in Phek district.
The 2nd day witnessed 9 teams competing in various track and field events including football, volleyball and basketball ball for both men and women.
Kutsapo topped the medal tally with 8 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze as on January 18. Chepoketa on the top two list with 7 Gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze while Tehephu occupied 3rd place with 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. In the men’s football, Chepoketa secured a 2-1 win against Khuza in the first league group match, Ruyito Tetseo from Chepoketa scored the first goal in the 15th minute earning him the man of the match.
Tehephu registered win over Sohomi 4-1 in the second round. Khutsokhuno trounced Kutsapo 2- 0 in the third round. In the 4th round, Tehephu defeated Suthotsu 4-0 while Kizari registered win over Mutsale by a solitary goal in the 5th round.
In men’s volleyball, Khutsokhuno defeated Kutsapo, Mutsale beat Kizari, Chepoketa defeated Sohomi while Khutsokhuno defeated Khuza.
In women’s volleyball, Khuza registered win over Kizari, Chepoketa defeated Kizari, Kutsapo defeated Tehephu, Mutsale beat Suthotsu while Khutsokhuno defeated Sohomi.
The meet will continue till January 22.
