Oh the magnificent Glory of Love
For all eternities in Heaven above,
Reflected as the nature of the Lord,
And by those who feed on the Word.
It flows like a river from Calvary’s Tree,
Grace that ransomed both you and me;
A flame that refines, a balm for the soul,
Love for the broken, making them whole.
Oh, let this glory in our hearts be enthroned,
Not only confessed, but daily made known;
Let men allow Love in their spirits to reign,
Over pride, over bitterness, and over pain.
When Love manifests and governs our way,
True peace will arise and gently hold sway;
Harmony will blossom where discord once stood,
And men will grow fairer, be hopeful, more good.
No thunder of wars, and no rivers of tears,
No cries of despair echoing thru' the years;
Children will laugh in homes warm & bright,
Cradled in safety, & wrapped in God’s light.
In dwellings where Christ is an honoured guest,
Love will find welcome and hearts will find rest;
For where He abides, grace endlessly flows,
And mercy like dawn on a weary world glows.
Then all animosities will fade into dust,
Replaced by compassion, and by trust;
In unity bound, stronger we shall stand,
Living the glory of Love as God planned.
