We have wasted the time God gave us to redeem our sabotaged independence. There is no reason to waste time for Framework Agreement (FA). Many without knowing condemned Shillong Accord as a sell-out accord. But FA is a repeat sell-out and hence it shall be condemned as a determined, intentional sell-out to the government of India. Shillong Accord was done by a few underground leaders – never ever in the name of NNC/NFG. Hence, the matter got referred to the president Lt AZ Phizo. He rejected the Accord downright and the matter got buried neat and clean, then and there.
Without founding another organization – avoiding bloodshed within the Naga society Lt. Isaac Swu and Thuingaleng Muivah would have strengthened NNC and carry forward to liberate the occupied Nagaland in India. Solution of independence of the Nagas would have been worked out by mobilising the help of the global communities in the fast changing time. No sensible person would ever justify the merit of joining the UNPO – because the bedrock of Nagaland independence was declared on 14th August 1947 based on wisdom of forefathers – Naga Club expressing their earnest desire to be left to their age-old systems of living every village a republic. To confirm the spirit of independence declaration of Nagaland, plebiscite was conducted on 16th May 1951. The invasion of India into Nagaland on October 1954 clearly proved India was invader and occupier of Nagaland. On the Burmese side in spite of poverty, Nagas remained independent by virtue of not joining the Panglong Agreement of 12th February 1947.
The political step taken – was informed to the United Nations based in New York, USA and the same was conveyed to Her Majesty government – United Kingdom. After laying this unique political foundation, why drifting so long to go to UNPO and unreasonably prolonged dialogues wasting biblical lifetime of 25 years plus. Nagas have wasted too long too far. Please come one and all, let us unitedly stand on the foundation of independence of 14th August 1947 and plebiscite 16th May 1951.
Let us throw away all the differences and no more factions. Unitedly stand together on the foundation of unique political history and raise the flag of independent Naga on 14th August 2026 at the location convenient to all preferably Pangsha – Eastern Nagaland. We may invite a cabinet member of USA or according to the pleasure of President Donald J Trump. Humble estate and difficulties may stand in the way but let us begin the functioning of a full-fledged nation on the liberated Eastern Nagaland. Subsequent steps of uniting the scattered Naga inhabitations in Burma and India would follow as the time unfolds. United we stand, we will never live scattered and divided at the whims and fancies of occupiers. KUKNALIM.
