Third batch of Nagaland students heads for ISRO trip

The third batch of students from Nagaland, on July 23, departed for an exposure trip to Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bengaluru.

This ISRO trip for 12 students from Kohima and Tseminyu districts was flagged off today by Shashank Pratap Singh, principal director, School education Nagaland in the presence of School Education Director Razouseyi Vese, additional director Deenabandhu Panda and other officials.

Zhokupa Hoshi, assistant programme officer, school education, informed that this exposure program is part of the North East Programme for Awareness, Reach & Knowledge on Space (NE-SPARKS) and an initiative of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland.

The twelve students with a teacher guide Akenyu Semp, are from Northfield School Kohima, Mezhur Higher Secondary School Kohima, Rüzhükhrie Government Higher secondary School Kohima, Government Higher Secondary School Tseminyu town, Government High School Kandinu, Baptist Higher Secondary School Tseminyu and Don Bosco School Tseminyu.  

The team will return on July 26.
