The saga between the Naga Students’ Federation’s (NSF) former Finance Secretary and the President of the Dimapur Restaurant Union has taken a new turn. Three days after a police complaint was filed against him by the NSF, Tito Yepthomi, President of the Dimapur Restaurant Union turned himself in to the police.
According to official sources, Yepthomi turned up at the East Police Station, where the FIR was filed against him on July 10. He was subsequently released on PR Bond.
Awomi’s bail plea rejected
In another development, former NSF Finance Secretary Katho P Awomi’s bail plea was rejected by the court. A complaint was filed against him by Yepthomi. He surrendered to the police on July 4 and released on a PR Bond. He was arrested after the PR Bond was rejected by the court. He was in judicial custody following the arrest. Awomi’s bail plea was heard on July 13.
