Dimapur, June 8 (MExN): The Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) has welcomed the Nagaland Government's order regarding the issuance of Scheduled Tribe (ST) Certificates and Permanent Resident Certificates (PRC) to members of the Rongmei community covered under the 1313 enumerated list and their direct descendants.
In a statement, the Union expressed appreciation for the Government's decision, describing it as a significant step towards resolving a long-pending issue that has affected many eligible members of the Rongmei community.
The TUD stated that Rongmei individuals who fulfill the prescribed criteria rightfully deserve to be accommodated and accorded the benefits provided under the Government order.
The Union further viewed the decision as a positive measure aimed at addressing a longstanding concern and expressed hope that its implementation would be carried out in a fair, transparent and orderly manner in accordance with the established guidelines.
