A block-level health mela was held at Taknyu village under Tuensang Sadar block on Friday, providing general medical check-ups, eye screening and antenatal care (ANC) services.  

The medical camp was led by Dr Waulong Phom, District Immunization Officer (RCH & UIP), along with Dr Nungsangtemjen, Obstetrician and Gynecologist at District Hospital Tuensang; Dr Imlinaro, District Program Officer (CD-2); and Medical Officer, Srinagesh PHC. They were supported by staff from the District Program Management Unit (DPMU), District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), three pharmacists, nurses from Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), an ophthalmic assistant from Longkhim CHC, a lab technician from the National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP), and personnel from the Public Health Block Mission (PBM). 

The block ASHA coordinator, along with staff from the Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP), including a lower division assistant (LDA) and data entry operator (DEO), also participated.  

A total of 80 people registered for outpatient department (OPD) services, and free medicines were provided. 

Focus group discussions were conducted by IEC personnel and the block ASHA coordinator on family planning, maternal health, child health, and adolescent health. IEC materials were distributed, and Horlicks was given to pregnant mothers during the camp.
