Dimapur, February 28 (MExN): Two fighters from The Combat Academy Nagaland claimed victories at Matrix Fight Night 16, held at Siri Fort in New Delhi. Sarita Rathod, originally from Mumbai but training in Nagaland for the past three years, earned a split-decision victory over Riya Thapa of Dehradun after a closely contested three-round bout. Avizo Lanamai, who prepared for the fight at Kaizen MMA in Bangalore, dominated his opponent, Mohsin Shaikh, securing a unanimous decision win. Victor Angami, manager of The Combat Academy Nagaland, said the wins reflect the hard work and discipline of the fighters.
