Dimapur, April 12 (MExN): UCO Bank had sanctioned Rs 30,473 crore PMMY loans to around 24 Lakh beneficiaries. Financial assistance under PMMY scheme not only helped in changing lives of entrepreneurs but also helped them to become settled businessmen/industrialist, UCO bank stated in a press release.
Supporting micro enterprises under PMMY scheme enhanced Bank’s image as a socially responsible institution contributing to economic empowerment and nation building.
It also stated that the scheme has also benefitted UCO Bank in various ways. Several PMMY beneficiaries have availed higher quantum of loan from the Bank which helped Bank in achieving its Priority Sector lending target.
The scheme has also helped Bank to grow its retail business since several beneficiaries have availed retail loans under Bank’s different schemes.
