Unidentified body recovered near Central Jail in Diphupar

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 9 (MExN): An unidentified male body was recovered near Central Jail, opposite Shamrock School in Diphupar village in the early hours of February 9. According to police, a written memo was received at around 1:30 am informing that an unidentified dead body had been found at the location. On receipt of the information, a duty party rushed to the spot and conducted an inquest on the body.

During the inquest, no visible injury marks were observed on the body and the cause of death could not be ascertained, police said. A thorough inspection indicated that the deceased was approximately 40 years old and of dark complexion. After completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.

The deceased was found wearing blue jeans and blue long pants, a black T-shirt printed with the words “I Love Pink,” a white hooded jacket, and a ring on one finger.

Claimants, relatives, or friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, Diphupar Police Station, Chümoukedima, at mobile number 7085055022 for identification and further information.
