‘Unsatisfactory ATM service’ irks students in Wokha

Wokha, January 21 (MExN): The Lotha Students' Union (LSU), Wokha has expressed serious concern over “unsatisfactory ATM service” within its jurisdiction.

The union in a press release issued by its President, Ashanthung Humtsoe and Assistant General Secretary, B Mhajan Tsopoe said, it is very unfortunate to notice that often many ATM booths are either out of service or out of cash and consumers are compelled to gather in a queue without any social distance at the ATM booth where the cash is available.

The LSU stated that ATM service is basic necessities for all means and should not be ignored at any cost as the consumers are paying its service charge. It also pointed out that as academic admissions and other academic related activities are going on, students daily activities should not be hampered unnecessarily while accessing ATM service.

While urging the authority concerned to address the concern, LSU also stated that the union “will be compelled to initiate serious steps if the authorities turn deaf ear towards this issue.”

Meanwhile, it also appealed the public to cooperate and maintain social distancing and have civic sense while accessing ATM service.
