Vijay Hazare trophy: Nagaland lose to Puduchery

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 28 (MExN): The Nagaland senior cricket team lost to Puducherry in their Group-D encounter at the BCCI Vijay Hazare Trophy in Vadodra on September 28.  

Nagaland lost the toss and were put in to bat first. The team lost quick wickets; however team captain Jonathan scored 89 runs. The Nagaland team managed to put up a total of 202 runs before losing all their wickets in 45.3 overs.  

In response, Puducherry reached the target losing eight wickets in 45.1 overs. Puducherry’s PK Dogra was the highest scorer with 98 runs.  

Nagaland have so far lost three matches and won two; with three more matches to be played. They will next face Manipur on September 30.
