Dimpur, December 9 (MExN): Nagaland (U-16) team which qualified from its zone in the Vijay Merchant (U-16) trophy lost the four-day match in the pre-quarterfinal-I against Uttar Pradesh at Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur today.
Electing to bat, Nagaland were bowled out for 157 in 1st innings.
In reply, Uttar Pradesh declared their 1st innings at a mammoth total of 561 runs with the lost of 9 wickets and leading by 404 runs.
Nagaland were bowled out for 134 runs in their 2nd innings eventually losing the match by an innings and 270 runs.
