Kohima, January 16 (MExN): The 27th Biennial Sports Meet of the Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO) concluded on January 11 with Vekhosayi Nyekha, former president, Western Chakhesang Hoho as the guest of honour.
Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, who could not turn up for the event due to some unavoidable circumstances, had expressed his best wishes through Vekhosayi Nyekha, to the WCYO for successfully conducting the 27th Biennial Sport’s Meet which had significantly brought the Chakhesang people from the four districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Peren together through the Sports Meet.
The programme was chaired by Asato Nyekha while Kiesalie Thopi, former President of WCYO exhorted the gathering. Vote of thanks was pronounced by Mudozhoyi Shijoh, Treasurer WCYO while Velhuto Keyho, Cultural Secretary, WCYO led the prize distribution ceremony.
Diezephe village lifted the Champion trophy in Men Football and Women Volleyball while Sodzulhu Village lifted the Men Volleyball Championship. Chümoukedima lifted the championship trophy in Basketball for both men and women.
