Western Sumi Hoho discusses social concerns with Dimapur CP

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 15 (MExN): The Western Sumi Hoho led by its president Tokuho Suhoi Neho paid a courtesy visit to Commissioner of Police Dimapur Aotula T Imchen at her office on August 12 and held discussions on various issues confronting society.

During the interaction, the Hoho appreciated the Commissioner’s efforts in curbing illegal activities and assured her of its full cooperation in promoting social harmony and peace. Imchen thanked the Hoho for its assurance to work collectively with the police in addressing illegal activities. She also expressed concern over the influx of illegal immigrants and drug use among youths.

The Commissioner urged the Hoho to encourage youths to participate diligently in competitive examinations and develop a culture of self-reliance rather than depending on others for livelihood. She also voiced concern over the growing unemployment among youths and said hard work and self-reliance were essential to addressing the dependency on others and strengthening society.
