Of late, the NSF has been agitating about their so-called “backdoor appointments” in the power department and there have been various opinions about it. Though we are being made the fierce target, we have remained silent watching the moves.
It is a fact that we are being employed on contract basis since 2009. Some of us have been serving for the last two years, some one year, some six months etc. We have been discharging our duties and responsibilities as per requirement.
What wrong have we done wrong in the eye of the NSF that we employees under the power department have been made the sole target? Are we second class citizens to the NSF?
The point is, there are thousands of employees in other departments who have been appointed through all illegal means and still NSF choose to point their guns at us. Why is the NSF overlooking all those illegal appointments?
At this hour we appeal and call upon all right thinking citizens, NGOs, pressure groups and even the government to judge whether the NSF is applying the same yardstick to all departments. A time will come when the NSF has to be answerable to all these. We are not opposing but the NSF has to exercise its duties without any biasness and treat all government departments equal. NSF should not magnify things only in a single department. If they magnify us, then the NSF should also magnify all other departments with the same vision and then agitate. We are and will be following the steps taken by the NSF whether they treat all departments equally.
