KMTYC, CRYC move to quarters
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 25 (MExN): Konthoujam Maning (KMTYC) trounced Chingkhulong (CYDA) 3-1 at the 7th pre-quarter match played at the ongoing XIIth Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament 2018 on Sunday.
The match began with Hopeson Panmei (J-9) of CYDA scoring the first goal in the 26th minute of the first half. Tables turned and hopes were dashed after Tichuilung R. Panmei (J-9) from KMTYC scored the equalizer just two minutes after.
Panmei Gideon (J-8) of KMTYC nailed the match with two more goals at 43rd and 80th minute.
The 8th pre-quarter match between Chingmeirong (CRYC) and Namthanlong (NYC) was a thriller with both teams netting in goals minutes after the other. Rambo Palmei (J-17) of NYC netted the first goal in the 12th minute only to be leveled by R. Ramkhon Chawang (J-10) in the 18th minute. This was followed by another goal from NYC’s Gaisingam Dangmei (J-11) in the 28th minute. MAS (J-22) from CRYC settled the score on the 31st minute.
On the 57th minute, R. Ramkhon Chawang (J-10) of CRYC scored the deciding goal leading the team 3-2.
