Abstain from 'poll-related-violence', appeals Aonglenden NPF candidate

Dimapur, April 27 (MExN):  The 26 Aonglenden A/C NPF candidate Toshipokba Longkumer has appealed the supporters to abstain from "poll-related-violence" and create an atmosphere for a free and fair election.
He said in the press statement received here today: “I believe that to bring about a total transformation in our political system for corruption free and transparency in administration, we must begin from a clean election. The past legacy of money power, ism, violence and deceit associated with election which is being strictly followed by the Congress candidate, election after election, must be done away with and leave a new system for posterity.”
Concerning the Indo-Naga political issue, the NPF candidate said: “…as both the GoI and the NSCN are prepared to concretize a permanent settlement on the Indo-Naga political issue, we shall not shy away from positively playing the facilitating role effectively. It will also be prudent on the part of the Naga people to ponder seriously over the reconciliation process among the warring groups, initiated by Forum for Naga Reconciliation. Let us not allow the finest opportunity to pass on.”
Further, Toshipokba called upon the denizens of 26 Aonglenden that he is convinced beyond doubt that, “a dictator of any hue or colour is bound to fail the test of time”.
“A toothless and clawless roaring paper tiger is no more a threat to an energetic and young black stallion. I have already seen a vision of a better tomorrow for the people of 26 Aonglenden. Be with me and I shall not fail you,” he declared in the statement.
