Ahead of by-poll, Congress workers resign under Mkg

DIMAPUR, MAY 4 (MExN): The NPF has wholeheartedly welcomed the under-mentioned erstwhile Congress leaders under Mokokchung and 26 Aonglengden assembly constituency who have decided to resign from the Congress party and join the NPF under the dynamic leadership of NPF President Dr. Shürhozelie and visionary Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio. This was informed in a press note issued by NPF Press & Media Bureau.
According to the press note the Congress workers who resigned have pledged their support for NPF candidate Toshipokba and the NPF welcomes them into the party and also congratulates them on taking the bold decision coinciding with the visit of the Chief Minister and President to Mokokchung.
The members who resigned included Toshilemba- President, Kisan Cell, Mokokchung district and veteran Congress leader; Talitoshi- Vice President (Arkong Ward); Senson- Executive Member (Arkong ward); Akato- Executive Member (Arkong ward); Temsu- Member; Imjongsunup- Member; Imtitoshi Pongnen – Member; Moatenjen- Member; S. Moasunup- Asst General Secretary (Dilong Ward); Lanunungsang - Vice President (Dilong Unit); Rongsenyanger – President (Sangtemla ACYC); Amongla Jamir - General Secretary (Sangtemla ward); Temsunaro- Joint Secretary (Sangtemla ward); Tianenla- Joint Secretary (Sangtemla ward); Purlemla- Executive Member (Sangtemla ward); Simon- Executive Member (Sangtemla Ward); Lanuyangla- Executive Member (Sangtemla ward) and Odangmetong - Executive Member (Santemla ward).
