DIMAPUR, MAY 8 (MExN): Troops of 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched operation along NH-39 and apprehended six suspicious youths from a Maruti van at around 2.30 pm on 07 May 2011 at general area Tegnoupal. This was informed in a press note from PRO IGAR South. On questioning, it was found that they were newly recruited into a new group, ZUP (Zeliangrong United Force) and being taken away from Imphal for training at Myanmar. Individuals identified as Ganglinlung Riamei,18 yrs, s/o Lungaiga Riamei, r/o Awang Bazar, Bishanpur, Khanglounggam Kamei,19 yrs, s/o Lungan Kamei, r/o Rengpang, Nungba, Tamenglong, Dihjenpau Pamei, 18 yrs, s/o Gaiding Pamei, r/o Nonei, Tamenglong, Gaijangam Golmei,21yrs,s/o Gaishinlung Golmei, r/o, Tamenglong, D Winner Dengmai, 20 yrs, s/o Abuan Dengmai, r/o Longmai, Tamenglong and Maithiu Pau,27 yrs, s/o Late Poubilung, r/o Rangkhung, Tamenglong. The apprehendees were handed over to Tegnoupal Police station.
In yet another incident, troops of 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched operation in general area Tegnoupal on 07 May 11. At around 4 pm, troops apprehended a Myanmarese national from a TATA Sumo bearing Regd No. MN 01K 7458 without valid documents. The individual was identified as Kobir Ahammed ,25 yrs, s/o Late Wahidur Rehman,r/o Aikiaf (Myanmar).02x Mobile phones Indian currency Rs.1261/- was recovered from the apprehendee who alongwith recoveries was handed over to Tegnoupal Police station.
