Chang Region NNC/FGN resolves to maintain peace with other groups

Dimapur, June 20 (MExN): The Chang NNC/FGN workers and public leaders have unanimously resolved that all the Chang NNC/FGN workers who were working in different ways in the past few years shall now work in "oneness" for the nation under the leadership of Adinno Phizo, president of the original Naga National Council (NNC) and under the leadership of ‘gen.’ (Retd.) Viyalie Metha, Kedahge (President) of the original Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN).
This resolution was taken in the joint meeting held on June 4. It stated that the agreement will be implanted by maintaining peace with other groups as non-violence has been the unflinching policy of the NNC, "the parent body of the Naga nation".
“It is undisputed fact that the Naga National Council (NNC) which was founded by the Naga people on 2nd February, 1946 is the only uncontested National Council of the Naga Nation and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) that was democratically established on 22 March, 1956 by the Naga people through a federation is the only legitimate Government of Nagaland. The NNC/FGN Workers of Chang Region therefore declare our unity in reaffirmation to work under the banner of the original NNC/FGN without violence against anyone and we appeal to all fellow prodigal sons and daughters to return home soon and reunite with the parent (NNC) and abide by the Lakhuti Resolution of 27th April, 1955,”  a press note issued by ‘midan peyu’ T. Loyem, ‘tatar’ T. Saolimba Chang and  NNC/FGN Leader B. Kejong Chang.
It also went on saying that by tradition, the Nagas are Sovereign, Independent and free at all. We have our inborn sovereignty and freedom the gift of God and we shall continue to resist and exist it.
Further, in accordance with the Articles 4, 5 and 7 of the Yehzabo (Constitution) of Nagaland, each village is a Republic and each Region is an Autonomy. And we have our traditional boundaries between Regions and Sub-Regions. Therefore we earnestly urge to all fellow Nagas not to intrude or interfere in our (Chang) administration and local businesses. Similarly, we will not intrude or interfere in the administration or businesses of other Regions. So that we can live in peace and harmony as a brother and sister of the Naga family in the days to come, the note said.
