Central Nagaland Student’ Association (CNSA) adopted a four-point resolution during its 5thGeneral conference, which was held on June 5 and 6 at IMC hall, Dimapur.
The resolution which was signed by the Convenor, S Shilukaba Longchar; Member, Ejanthung Ngullie and Member, Himato K Yeptho resolved that the CNSA ‘strongly reaffirms to support the ongoing absolute Demand of the Five Tribes Committee (CORRP) on the review of Reservation Policy in Nagaland.’
It resolved to unanimously continue to support All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) on its demand for upgradation of Kheloshe Polythenic Atoizu to a full-fledged Engineering College. The CNSA shall endeavour to preserve and promote cultural tourism and the traditional heritage by envisaging a common CNSA festival for cultural assimilation and unity within the three tribes of Central Nagaland and beyond Naga indigenous tribes.
The Association also resolved that any leader representing the three tribal students' body to frontal organisations should continue to stand constantly united on any issue and challenge that comprehends CNSA.
2025-2028 leadership team dedicated
During the valedictory session, a new team of CNSA office bearers for the 2025-2028 tenure was formally dedicated. The CNSA will be led by Zuchobemo Jungi from LSU as President, with Mughaka K Zhimo (SKK) serving as Vice-President, and Imnayanger Jamir (AKM) as General Secretary.
The newly appointed team also includes Vikupu Awomi (SKK) as Joint Secretary, Puloto G Awomi (SKK) as Finance Secretary, ReshiamerenLongkumer (AKM) as Education Secretary, Jamedi Jamir (AKM) as Cultural Secretary, and Meytila (AKM) as Women Coordinator.
The Co-opted Members are Bito Yeptho (SKK), Toito Awomi (SKK), Moayanger Jamir (AKM), and Imsutoshi Imchen (AKM).
