It is so disheartening to see density violence, bloodshed and hatred for one another in our Naga society. When there is no unity, love and peace among us then how can we develop and uplift the condition of our society? We the Nagas were innocent pure and had good virtues. Nagas were united and lived in peace and harmony but the present society has changed and is no more pure and innocent like the past, due to the evil existing in our society we can see many broken families, drug addicts, low moral quality, disrespect for others, murder and all sort of crime which is hurting the innocent ones as well as our Lord Almighty. Most of the evil existing is become the Nagas has drifted away from their innocent and pure life principles of the past.
They are being influenced by outer elements and people who live a life which is displeasing to our Lord Jesus. We should not follow or be influenced by other people’s way of living which is not holy and not according to the Christian way of living. Nowadays it is seen that some notorious criminals who have political background are given concession on various grounds while in police custody while on the other hand innocent and poor persons, who have no support from influential person are harassed and have to face all sorts of problems. Moreover it is very sad to see that some women who are pregnant are also taken into police custody and not given consideration. Even if a woman may be guilty of some crimes if she is pregnant it should be given a consideration on humanitarian basis as it is very unwise and ungodly to detain a pregnant woman. People have become so money minded that they fail to reach out and help those who are suffering and in need of kindness, love, moral and spiritual help.
There are many evil people around us trying to influence us in every way they can and so they will try to become friendly and please us in every way they can but in fact the evil around us is trying to deceive us which will lead us to hell. When in times of difficulty and sorrow, we ask there help they will turn away and laugh at our situation. When we are in a strange and new environment with which the wicked and evil are familiar, the evil people will never help the innocent in fact they will try their best to bring suffering and pain for their selfish interest and gain.
Hence we as Christians should not follow the ways of the wicked and evil of some people who are practising it. It should be our aim to purify of our society of the existing evil by encouraging one another to live holy and pure life pleasing to God. There are many people specially the elders who are addicted to wine, pan, Ghutkas, etc., which is indeed harmful to one’s health as well as bad example for others. Some women say that drinking a small quantity of beer after delivery is good for health but in my opinion I feel that one should not drink because even if one consume small quantity at first, they later on become addicted to it and become heavy drinkers. So one should not consume any thing which is harmful and makes us slave to it later on. It is very sad to see that some mothers have become addicted to wine and other harmful substances which will ruin their family as well as their health.
On the other hand some elders fail to give proper guidance and advice to the younger ones which is indeed a very wrong and sinful step as they are following the Christian principles. If they continue to follow and imitate the evil way of living, then murders, riots, drug addiction, exploitation will become the norm in our society. Recently we have read and come across in newspapers stories of bomb blasts, murders, rape, illegal business, theft cases etc. The reason why such kind of tragic happening have been increasing every year in our society is because of evil people existing and imitating their life styles. They should all come together as brothers and sisters and live humbly helping each other through kindness and understanding and not be haughty and wicked causing pain and grief to others. Also there are many people who do not want to take advice and at the same time tell the good people not to give advice and show good example to others who are living an evil life. This type of people is in fact pushing millions of lost souls to hell by not encouraging others to live an honest life pleasing to God. So dear brothers and sisters, let us all unitedly work to do away with all kinds of evil and help one another in their grief and distress. MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
