FGN 15th Battalion informs

June 2 | Phek : The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) 15th Battalion, 5th Brigade, Southern Command (S/C) Naga Army has notified all concerned persons involved with commercializing intoxicated substances under black market system in Phek district, warning them with consequence.
Talking to this correspondent, Capt. Alacho, Adjutant 15th Bn, 5th Bgd S/C NA stated that for the last couple of months there has been deliberate sale of intoxicated substances viz IFML, drugs, etc in the district head quarter town of Phek which is affecting the town and its neighbouring villages. Capt. Alacho stated that the battalion as part of resuming its earlier operation would carry out necessary operation by checking all necessary places.
Commenting on the reward for national workers/cadres involved in such activities, the Captain said that “bitter and severe award shall be rewarded, even subject to imprisonment would pursue upon.” He also added that those culprits would face trial under government court of law sooner or later. Responding to the query on ‘if the government has any clues of functionary cadres involved in such activities’ Capt. Alacho stated that some sort of suspicions were there and intimation with stern warning was served to all the companies as part of first penalty.
Further, warning the persons involved, Capt. Alacho on behalf of the government disclosed that the battalion under his supervision will launch operation of checking the entire suspicion carriers with immediate effect. He said that the carrier checking would include both heavy and light vehicles from time to time.
Reaffirming its duty stand, he added that any person caught under any circumstances would be severely dealt with. He also informed that both the vehicle driver and owner will be fined rupees 5,000 (five thousand) shall be imposed; however the main culprits involved would be dealt as per the weight of the case. Therefore, a special appeal is made to the owners of the vehicle to give proper guidance to their drivers so as to avoid such penalization.
Seeking the unflinching support of the district administration, security personals, NGOs, Churches and the entire denizens of the region, the Captain further assured it would rendered its services for the welfare of the general public in order to restored the peaceful atmosphere in the town and its neighbouring villages..
