
Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): The Naga Hoho has appealed “to all the stakeholders” to award “all forms of construction and supply works” to local “entrepreneurs”. The Naga Hoho the services of non-locals have been utilized for long now yet these are people who never even visit Nagaland and are least bothered about the state and its people.
In the same coin, however, the ‘hoho’ also challenged Naga “entrepreneurs” to step forward and prove that they are efficient and honest in their undertaking. The ‘hoho’ issued a brief statement today making the appeal.
“In order to boost economic activities and to promote local entrepreneurs in the state, it should be the paramount duty of the state government to formulate policies towards the welfare of the common people. Since the inception of statehood, the practice has been utilization of non-locals residing in other cities of India to carry out big projects, in terms of contract and supply work, for Nagaland,” the Naga Hoho said.
“These are the people who never visit Nagaland and are least bothered for the welfare of the people and economic development in the state.”
The apex Naga tribal organization expressed conviction that the Naga entrepreneurs are ‘second to none’ and they have immense potentialities to execute any work, provided, the state government comes forward to nurture their capabilities. “This will surely circulate the money in the local market and thereby strengthen our economic activities in the state,” the ‘hoho’ stated.
