Dimapur, March 2 (MExN): The Glance Skilling Centre was officially opened with a dedicatory prayer ceremony on March 2 at Duncan Bosti, Tajen Ao Road, Dimapur.
The centre was inaugurated with prayer led by Rev Wati Kichu and family.
According to a press statement, the skilling centre is an initiative under the guidance of Esther Jamir, proprietor of Glance Boutique. Jamir, described as the first supermodel from Northeast India, has been associated with the fashion and garment industry for decades and has run Glance Boutique for the past 12 years.
Speaking on the occasion, Jamir stated that “the vision of the Glance Skilling Centre goes beyond teaching stitching techniques.” She said the centre would focus on understanding client requirements, developing professional discipline, and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry.
She added that “the students will not only learn basic and advanced cutting and tailoring but also give the guidance to start and manage their own tailoring units or boutiques.”
Jamir further stated that “the centre aims to empower both men and women by equipping them with practical skill, confidence and entrepreneurial knowledge necessary to succeed in today’s competitive market.”
The centre is scheduled to commence its courses from the third week of March 2026, and enrollment is currently open.
